I’ve been obsessed with this photo for months, months I tell you. And then I made it, and it was too much. Too sweet, too rich, a formidable tower of eggs and sugar that detracted from the pie. So I didn’t have a recipe to share with you, nor any pictures really. Except for these of a pomegranate, which I consumed the other night, greedily, because it was the first non-cruddy pomegranate I’d cracked open all year.
