This looks stunning! I love the Polpo restaurants but haven’t got my hands on the book yet – it’s on my wishlist!

Haha, I thought I the idea of roasted grapes sounded useless and a bit gross before reading this post. They sound so good though — I think I was just averse because, like you, I really can only stand grapes if they’re really really good. This bruschette sounds awesome, and what a cookbook! I’ve never even heard of it (another reason why food blogging is so awesome: hear of awesome cookbooks that normal people like my friends have never heard of, like jerusalem, momofuku milk bar, around my french table, tender, etc).

I felt the same way about grapes for a long time. (Mostly because the first time I ever heard mention of roasted grapes was on the menu of this over-priced wannabe fancy pizza place in Burlington. They had window planters with [what I assume were] herbs that were sad and near dead 100% of the time, and their delivery car had this roof rack that held equally dead tomato plants. Ridiculous.) But I can definitely imagine how delicious this is, especially with goat cheese—yuurmm. I roasted strawberries and plums a few times last summer, and it’s so amazing what a bit of heat can do to fruits!

Also, that cookbook looks amazing! Fäviken was on my next-to-purchase list, but now I might need to just buy them both together. They seem like a good pair. (:

Absolutely beautiful photos. I’ve been meaning to experiment and cook with grapes for some time now, and as a lover of goat’s cheese this seems like the perfect introduction.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog and look forward to exploring it further.
    Regards – Angelica
