Haha, ever since I had the roommate-from-hell who overbooked her schedule and got about 4 hours of sleep a night while waking up at 5 to exercise and who was thus ALWAYS getting sick, I’ve been a little bit of a nazi when it comes to sickness-prevention. I sound pretty similar to you, actually! It’s so worth it though, when you stay healthy…healthy enough to make soups for the sick ones! This soup sounds awesome, and I love how simple/straightforward/healthy it is. And that photo of the carrots… so good!

This soup recipe is really making me ask myself why on earth I don’t have any harissa in the house yet. Well, because I use sambal oelek for everything, but still. :) This soup sounds so perfect for a cold–clear up those sinuses ASAP!

Oh yes, this sounds so good. Since Johnny is around tons of people at work, he has a tendency to come down with things far more often than I do. It can be difficult to balance wanting to take care of him and help him feel better with my strong desire to not be anywhere near the sickness. I will totally make this soup for him next time. It seems so simple, and yet me actually making him something will be far more endearing than pouring some boxed soup into a pan, then into a bowl, then sliding it across a table and saying, “there you go…I’ll be in the other room.” (:
