So I know I already commented on the post over on Joanna’s site, but I refrained from one of my super crazy long comments…which I will now write here!

You may have just managed to make me question my long-standing hatred of kale chips. (I tried making them once or twice and they were so-so [totally willing to admit that was my fault], but I mostly get mad when I see them being sold in stores for like $7/bag. My mom bought me a bag of them once I demanded to know how much she paid for them, and then I lectured her on how ridiculous it is that people will pay so much for some fad healthy “chip.” My poor mother!) However, I have been in the grips of an all-consuming seaweed snack addiction since my co-worker Eleanor introduced me to them five or so years ago. Her family would buy tons of them from the Asian mart in Albany, and then she’d bring a bunch in and we’d snack on them incessantly while our other co-worker repeatedly told us she didn’t know how we could eat those things. (She thought they tasted like rotten fish.) And a few years ago, I just happened to spot a slickdeals listing for the Annie Chun’s seaweed snacks on sale for $8/case. I bought two…

So yeah, in short, this sounds like the best recipe for kale chips ever, and it’s inspiring me to give them a try again. Wee! (:

Hey I never commented on this, but I’ve been wanting to say that I am super impressed that you posted on Cup of Jo’s “The Best…” food series! I remember following those from the beginning.
