I’m not a sport fan at all, but when a big game of football, cricket or rugby comes on TV (can you tell I’m British?) I do tend to get caught up in the excitement. Especially if it means we can have lots of people round who I can cook/bake for!

These look amazing. I’ve been meaning to try out savoury choux for a while now – I always seem to end up with eclairs or profiteroles but these look and sound amazing.

I’m not really into sports, but I get excited when my hometown team is beating everyone too. Case in point: I became a crazy fanatic when the Texas Rangers went to the World Series. They didn’t win, but it was still exciting!

I’ve never had gougeres before, but they look awesome! I am going to a super bowl party this year, at which I likely will not watch the game, but I always like the commercials and the snacks, and I generally bring some sort of baked good to share. These would be perfect!

What a perfect, bite-size treat to sastisy my savory indulgence on game day! I have 2 parties to attend and this would be great to take. I love bringing something other than chips/salsa or the usual junky stuff that I’ll regret eating later. Must they be served warm?

I tried asking Johnny yesterday what I should make for the Super Bowl (one of my favorite “holidays” for its sheer volume of beer and snacks — I know next to nothing about football), and all he suggested was chicken wings and “frito pie.” I am not dealing with chicken wings, and I’m still not 100% sure what frito pie is (despite asking him what it was, which then led to a “discussion” about how his ideas are dumb). I’m pretty sure that, whatever it is, it is NOT classy. These sound far better! (And their fancy French-ness would bring balance to the party, which I think may also involve pretzel-wrapped hot dogs. High-quality expensive hot dogs, but still…hot dogs.)
